FAQs

Working With Virani Immigration

Do I need an immigration consultant to apply to IRCC?

No — it’s not required, but immigration rules are complex. Working with a licensed RCIC helps prevent mistakes, ensures your documents are strong, and gives your application a better chance of success.

Are you a licensed immigration consultant?

Yes. I am a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC-IRB) in good standing with the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants (CICC).
You can Verify my status.

What services do you offer?

I assist with consultations, temporary residence (study/work/visit), permanent residence (Express Entry, PNP, sponsorship, H&C), and citizenship applications.

Consultations & Fees

What happens during the consultation?

We assess your eligibility, review your background, explore possible pathways, explain timelines and costs, and answer your questions so you leave with a clear plan.

What’s included in your professional fees?

Application preparation and review, document checklists, submission letters (when applicable), communication with IRCC, and ongoing case monitoring.

Do you guarantee approval?

No one can guarantee approval. I guarantee honesty, clarity, and a professionally prepared application.

Temporary Residence (Study, Work, Visit)

Can you help me with a study permit?

Yes — including SOP guidance, document preparation, and ensuring your application meets IRCC requirements.

Do you assist with work permits?

Yes. This includes LMIA or LMIA-exempt work permits, employer-specific permits, open work permits, and PGWPs.

Can I extend or restore my visitor status?

Yes — we help with extensions, change of conditions, and restoration (if eligible).

Permanent Residence (PR)

Which PR program is right for me?

It depends on your education, work history, language results, and goals. We identify the best pathway during your consultation.

Can I apply for PR while in Canada?

Yes. Many of our clients apply for PR while studying or working here.

What if my PR application is refused?

I can review your refusal, identify issues, and help you explore reapplying or alternative pathways.

Citizenship

When can I apply for Canadian citizenship?

Once you meet the physical presence requirement and other IRCC criteria. I help you calculate your days and prepare your application.

Do I need to take the citizenship test?

Most applicants aged 18–54 must complete the test. I provide resources to help you prepare.

Fraud, Safety & Representation

How can I avoid immigration scams?

Always work with a licensed RCIC. Avoid anyone who promises guaranteed approvals or asks for cash or personal transfers.

Can I change my immigration representative?

Yes — at any time. IRCC allows you to switch by submitting a new IMM 5476 form.

Application Process & Timelines

How long will my application take?

It depends on your program and IRCC processing times. I provide realistic timelines during your consultation and monitor your file.

How will you communicate with me?

Mostly through email and scheduled phone/video meetings with regular updates throughout the process.

Can you submit my application for me?

Yes — once you authorize me as your representative, I handle submission and communication with IRCC.
